Rodents cover all the popular furries that we like to keep as pets.  There are lots of them to choose from, each with a special attraction.   Like all creatures they will be at their most tame depending on how well they are handled from young.  The name 'rodent' comes from the Latin, rodere, "To gnaw" and they all have similarities to their teeth formation with sharp incisors which constantly grow throughout their lives. They are divided into three main groups:
Myomorpha - this includes the rat and mouse and the gerbil and hamster.  
Hystricomorpha includes the guinea pig, chinchilla and degus and 
Scuiromorpha includes the chipmunk.
